Artist talks, lectures, panel discussions, poetry readings, guided walkthroughs and discussions of the exhibitions with the curator—all ways to learn more about Northwest art and artists, engage more deeply with the exhibitions and meet others with like interests.

The MoNA Forum

Lectures and discussions on a variety of Northwest art topics. Mostly third Thursdays.

Poetry and Painting

In addition to a regular program of poetry readings in the gallery, MoNA is pleased to be a partner in the bi-yearly Skagit River Poetry Festival. The next festival will be May 19 - 20, 2006 in La Conner: www.skagitriverpoetry.org

Admission for all adult programs (unless otherwise noted):
$5/general; $4/seniors and $2/students; members free

MoNA is pleased to partner again with the Poetry Festival, featuring well-known Northwest and international poets. Lucille Clifton opens the festival with a reading at Maple Hall on May 15.

Ann Morris has created an extraordinary park on Lummi Island. Sculpture Woods: Studio Grounds of Ann Morris, includes a forward by Susan Parke and essays by Ted Lindberg and Jake Seniuk. The book is published by Marquand Books and distributed by the University of Washington Press. Meet the artist, view selected smaller works, and enjoy this informal book signing party!
