Finds Refined is a group show featuring artists who use found matter in their work as intrinsic elements, whether for aesthetic qualities or to incorporate the history or past life of the material as part of the conception of the work. In some cases, found materials will be only a part of the work, mixed in with more traditional mediums; in many instances, the found elements will not immediately reveal themselves in the art on view.

The Museum of Northwest Art is excited to participate in a Three-City Recycled Art Exposition, joining RE Store’s 7th annual Recycled Art and Fashion Shows in Bellingham and Seattle.  The MoNA exhibition is curated by Kathleen Moles; juried shows are planned for the four other venues in the exposition, which will feature the work of professional and semi-professional artists, public school students, and higher education students with an emphasis on art and industrial design, in exhibits held during April-May 2009. Haute Trash Fashion Shows will also take place in Bellingham and Seattle. For more information on these and related programs, please visit www.re-store.org.
