Serves regional elementary schools

Thanks to a recent grant from the Institute of Museum and Library Services, a federal agency, MoNA has developed teaching partnerships with elementary schools in six Skagit and Snohomish County school districts. MoNA Link connects current art exhibitions to classroom teaching, provides Museum- and classroom-based art instruction, helps teachers to use the Museum as a resource and teach hands-on art lessons. The program helps students achieve state-mandated requirements in visual art, communications, critical thinking and writing, and provides professional development for their teachers.
