   Family Art Day: Poetic Animal Screens
With Barbara Summers, artist and art educator

Inspired by the elegant collage paintings of Paul Horiuchi, create colorful imaginative tri-fold screens. Barbara will provide handsome animal images, material for a 9" x 12" screen, and an assortment of handmade papers. Your haiku will add the finishing touch.

Learn basic sumi painting techniques and philosophy from master artist Yuming Zhu. $60 registration includes materials. For artists, teachers (clock hours available), college and high school students.

Ann Morris has created an extraordinary park on Lummi Island. Sculpture Woods: Studio Grounds of Ann Morris, includes a forward by Susan Parke and essays by Ted Lindberg and Jake Seniuk. The book is published by Marquand Books and distributed by the University of Washington Press. Meet the artist, view selected smaller works, and enjoy this informal book signing party!
